Grace Chen provides negotiation training and coaching all over the world in Japanese and her native language, Mandarin.
Grace has more than 20 years of teaching experience at universities with a highly acclaimed teaching style. She enjoys developing new concepts and conducting research, and trying out different ways to teach that are effective and practical.
In addition to teaching negotiation, Grace has been doing research of comparative culture and comparative literature for more than 15 years. She was a researcher at Osaka University and Hosei University in Japan. Her studies involve professional psychological knowledge, language learning and cultural difference, which help her to be good at communicating, encouraging, and motivating. As a result of this experience, she has the ability to retain learners’ interests in learning, making them more engaged, which in turn leads to improved skills, performance, and confidence around negotiation and communication.
International Experience
In addition to her teaching and research work, Grace has worked companies such as with Nissan, Yamaha, Honda Trading Group, Sony, and Premium Japan. She is an expert advisor for Japanese language learning (Busuu in London) and a translator& editor for academic papers.
Education and Community Involvement
Grace is a Doctor of Literature, a fellow of The Japan Foundation, a member of Translators Association of China, and a member of Association for Japanese Literature Studies. She has published two translated books and fifteen academic papers.
