Make A Video

To enter, post a creative video on the following topic:

  • Why are negotiation skills so important in business and in life?
  • You can use personal examples, professional experience, negotiation tactics, research, or anything that will sell us on why you should receive this scholarship.

Videos must be uploaded to YouTube and the link to your video should be submitted with your final application. For consideration you must follow these guidelines:

Official Rules

Eligibility

  • Open to high school seniors or current undergraduate college students who are legal residents of the United States
  • Scholarship payable to the winner who must be living in the United States
  • Students must be enrolled in a school semester beginning no later than Fall 2022
  • Winner is not based on financial need
  • Relatives of SNI staff may not enter
  • Home-schooled students may apply so long as course of study is equivalent to a high school senior
  • Applicants required to submit a video (see “How To Enter” section for details)
  • All scholarship inquiries and questions must be sent to outreach@shapironegotiations.com.
  • Do not mail application. Physical forms are not accepted and will be discarded unread.

Any entry that does not meet the scholarship eligibility requirements will be promptly rejected and no notification will be given to the applicant.

How To Enter

To enter, post a creative video on the following topic:

  • Why are negotiation skills so important in business and in life?
  • You can use personal examples, professional experience, negotiation tactics, research, or anything that will sell us on why you should receive this scholarship.

Video submissions must meet these criteria:

  1. Video entries must be no more than 45 seconds long.
  2. Videos must be uploaded to YouTube and the link must be submitted with your application. Your video description must include:
    1. A brief description of your video
    2. a link to https://www.shapironegotiations.com/scholars
    3. must include the hashtag #SNIscholarship
  3. Content must be original and not taken from any other sources.

Submission Method

Before submitting the application form the student must create a video to be considered eligible for the scholarship. The video must follow the above prompt (see “How To Enter” section for details) and be uploaded to YouTube. All information on the application form must be filled out. Incomplete applications will not be accepted, paper forms are not accepted. Applications may only be submitted by clicking the “Apply now” button on this page.

Timeline

Applicants can submit scholarship entries from August 1st to September 15th, 2022. The winner will be announced and awarded the scholarship in October 2022.

Awards

One (1) winning applicant will receive a $1,000 scholarship, plus training from SNI. Award money must be applied to cover the winner’s college education expenses in the major field of their choosing. This award is subject to the following conditions: All monetary awards must be applied to cover winner’s college, university or vocational school tuition and education-related expenses, such as room, board, books and/or supplies. Scholarship money will not be awarded to anyone to pay for non-educational expenses under any circumstances.

All Rights Reserved

SNI reserves the right to use any and all submissions as content on their blog or elsewhere. SNI also reserves the right to terminate this scholarship without notice as deemed appropriate to SNI. Notwithstanding said termination, the scholarships will be awarded according to the aforementioned official rules.

Limitation Of Liability

SNI is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate information, technical errors, or human errors which may occur in the processing of entries and submissions. SNI does not assume responsibility for the content contained within submissions, nor are submissions considered endorsed by SNI. SNI does not assume responsibility for errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects or alteration of entries. SNI reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the SNI Scholarship, in whole or in part, at any time.

Selection of Finalists

After the September 15th, 2022 deadline, SNI will notify the winner via email.

Selection of Winner

One (1) winner will be selected from among the applicants, notified and announced in September 2022. The odds of winning depend on the quality of each entry as well as the number of quality entries. The judges’ decision is final. The winner will be notified via email. Acceptance of award constitutes permission (unless prohibited by law) to use winner’s name, city, state, likeness and/or voice for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity without additional compensation. Awards will be sent to the winner after all required proof and documentation is received.

Terms & Conditions

By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of SNI, which shall be final. All applicable federal, provincial, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

 

While marketing is not a primary intent of this scholarship, participation constitutes the participant’s consent, except where prohibited by law, to allow SNI to use of their name, city and state of residence, and entry (videos or photo essay) for advertising, publicity, and promotional purposes in any media, online or offline, without further permission, consent, payment or other consideration. 

SNI reserves the right to amend or modify the Terms & Conditions at any time during the promotion.
